Maternity Wear Review – Jump Eat Cry

Thank you to Jump Eat Cry for sending me a couple of lovely maternity wear from their Mothercot series! [Scroll all the way down for a discount code!]

Jump Eat Cry is a Singapore-based online e-commerce store that aims to provide stylish yet affordable maternity and nursing clothes to pregnant and new mothers. Their in-house label, Mothercot is designed by them. Designs are delicately hand drawn, and materials carefully picked to provide the best comfort for mothers. They also aim to bring comfort and infinite wearing to all mothers (can be worn before, during and after pregnancy).

The first piece is a top, Purple Duo Tone Nursing Top Size M.

This piece allows me more room for my baby bump to grow. The bigger the bump is, the more whites of the top will be seen. The flaps can also open up to have easy access for nursing after birth! The material of the item is of good quality and not flimsy.

The second is Empire Lines Nursing Dress Size S.

The dress is very light and flowy and is very comfortable on my ever-itching growing tummy! It is also very cooling to wear this dress. I love this feature about it because of the terribly hot weather in Singapore! This dress is also a nursing dress. The best part is that it doesn’t look like a nursing dress at all! Under the ribbon is actually a zip which allows easy access for nursing. 🙂

The ribbon is tied simply at the back and this measles you look less round and plump than you should! Here’s also a photo of me matching my Jujube with the dress. The very light silvery grey of the dress makes it easy to match!

Just a note, I’m 1.72m tall, 58kg, and 5 months pregnant at the time of the photo.

Jump Eat Cry extends a 15% discount on all their products including sale items to all readers! Code:beautifulchaos15 (expires 30 September 2016)

Freebies and Tips for SuperMom Baby Fair 2016

Dropped by the SuperMom fair at Suntec Convention Centre today Level 4 and brought home lots of loots, of which many were free or free gifts from purchases! Here are some tips I hope will help you enjoy your shopping experience even more! 🙂

1. There are 2 entrances. One to Supermom fair and the other to Rise and Shine Carnival, but both are linked inside.

2. First 500 shoppers to EACH fair will get a goodie bag. Which means, queue up at the goodie bag collection booth first. Left of entrance to the Supermom fair, and right of entrance to Rise and Shine. Many do not know Rise and Shine were giving away goodie bags so when I was there at about 2pm they were still available! (Collection of vouchers can be done later on)

3. Free Diapers samples can be found at the Mamy Poko booth, tollyjoy booth, and the  Pampers diaper changing room.

4. Free baby clothes from Cryoviva just by filling up a contact form and no obligation to sit down to listen them at all. (Stemcord and Cordlife are at the fair too)

5. Free walking pet balloon if you sit down to listen to agents at AIA booth. (Prudential is also at the fair)

6. Free copy of August issue of Motherhood magazine with free Frisomum samples at the Motherhood booth. They also ask if you want to sign up for free digital Motherhood magazine. Why not?

7. Mothercare‘s booth is very crammed and crowded. Enter without baby if possible. If you are not alone, get the other adult to queue for you as the payment counter is very slow and long.

8. Vouchers cannot be used to purchase insurance, milk and diapers. Eg karihome and Guardian booths do not accept the vouchers because they sell those items. Happie diapers do not sell those items but they do not accept the vouchers, but you can bring receipt to the Supermom voucher collection booth at the entrance to claim your cash back in exchange for vouchers.

9. If you don’t mind them going to your house to clean mattresses, free gifts also from the usual cleaning companies like Delphin, Rainbow and Luna.

10. Many free gifts with purchase from Clarins booth.

Just to share my loots. 🙂 Here’s a list of what I bought today.

1. Clarins stretch mark cream $90 (used $50 Supermom voucher so total cost is $80) free gifts: 1 really large tote bag, 1 pouch, exfoliating body scrub, body lift cellulite control, body lotion)

2. Chicken Essence from EYS. Original price about $19 each box. Baby fair price $13.50. Bought 4 boxes using $50 Supermom voucher. Spent $44. Means essentially each box only cost $11!!

3. 2 large bottles of Karihome sweets $14 each and got 1 large bottle blueberry flavour free. That’s about $9 per bottle!

4. Crayola magnetic whiteboard and blackboard easel for $76. Used a $50 Supermom voucher so spent $66.

5. $15.50 for 2 tubes of 25g papaw cream from Tinytree booth. Used my free $5 Supermom voucher here so paid only $10.50!

All my loots and free gifts!! 🙂 Do leave a comment if you have any more tips and if there were other stalls giving out free items! 🙂

And I totally deserved a llao llao after the shopping!! 🙂

Eu Yan Sang Confinement Soup Package

So I’m searching around for confinement herbs packages and have more or less decided on the package to buy before I even started on my search reason being my Aunty who is well versed in herbs and quality is an Eu Yan Sang fan. As such we just tried to read up more about EYS confinement herb soup package and asking others who have tried it.

We dropped by Eu Yan Sang yesterday. And this is the herb package that they are marketing.

In it contains 28 days worth of confinement herbs with some of their supplement pills for after pregnancy and also some ingredients for red dates tea and Sheng hua soup etc etc. I had asked initially how many days worth of red dates tea is included but the sales lady was right. It depends on how thick we make the tea and how much tea you drink each day. Just as an estimate, there are 2 packets of red dates inside and we can always buy more to top up.

The soups are all individually packaged nicely with all the herbs separated from each other and instructions are at the back of each package.

The entire package cost $268 for members which I feel is a very reasonable and competitive price.

How do you become a member? Here’s a piece of good news. From now until 8 Aug 2016, you can just produce your PAssion card at any outlet to apply for the membership card for FREE! (You can also use SAFRA card if you have)

Another lobang that I found. Upcoming at the Supermom fair in August, Eu Yan Sang will be at the fair! Will they be selling confinement herb soup package? This I am not too sure but I would think it is logical for them to market it there as it is after all a baby fair. Supermom is currently selling $50 cash vouchers for $40 only so you get to save some more! Even if they do not have the herb package there, you can definitely stock up on chicken Essence 🙂

Hope all these information help you in some way or another in deciding the confinement soup package you would like to take up and if you do choose EYS package that you get it at a good price. 🙂

How to buy from iHerb.com

There are many people who are spreeing and earning from helping people buy from iHerb. But in fact, iHerb is the simplest overseas website to buy from! Why? Because for a flat fee of $4usd (Max weight of 6.35kg, maximum value of $200usd), it ships your items, nicely packed in a box, directly to your doorstep! They use Singpost and you are able to track your items! No need to pass links to people to buy for you, no need to check if they received/processed your items, no need to go collect from them or worse even, pay another sum of money for them to courier or mail the items to you. Best of all, from the day you order, it only takes about 1 week for the items to arrive! What are you waiting for now?

So how do you go about doing it? Here’s a step-to-step guide to help you. If you intend to do any online shopping from overseas websites, I recommend to try iHerb first. It really is the simplest. 🙂

1. Sign up an account with iHerb. You can click on the link to go directly to the iHerb website.

2. Start shopping! Add things into your cart. Some common things I like to order are organic snacks and Aveeno baby wash for my toddler, and Kettle chips for the hubs.

3. When you check out, key in your address where you want them to deliver the items to. Hint: Using DBS cards so far give me the best exchange rates. 🙂

4. If you are a first time buyer on iHerb, you can use this code PFN502 to get $10 off with minimum purchase of $40.

Simple enough? Go try it! 🙂 You can leave a comment if you need any more guidance. 🙂

Happy Shopping! 🙂 🙂 🙂
