Staycation – Grand Park City Hall

This the the second year that we are on a staycation during National Day holiday. We were lucky to be able to get tickets to the NDP and so we paid for a hotel stay to get back to rest as soona s the parade ends, so we do not have to squeeze with the crowd in the train stations. The bub was 1.5 years old then, and I was preggers too.

At Grand Park City Hall, the rates were really competitive among the hotels in the area. It was a relatively older hotel as compared to the rest, which was probably why it was more affordable. So we decided to choose the club room!

Checking in was done at the club lounge as well.

While we were waiting for our turn, the Daddy helped himself to the unlimited flow of drinks from the drink bar. His favourite, the bitter lemon was there!

The room was very sleek and although I do not like the colour green, it helps the room has this rustic feel about it.

The Bub loved the armchair by the window. And he loves also the keycard to the room.

This was the shower in the bathroom,

And this is the bath tub area.

There is a study table as well if the Daddy needs to work.

Somehow the Bub was very entertained by the phone in the room. Maybe it is because he has not seen a phone like that before? 🙂

They served snacks and tea at the Club Lounge. Here’s one of the snacks they served. Quail’s egg with caviar! Yummy!

We took a family photo here before we went for the National Day Parade. 🙂
